American Red Cross


The local chapters of the American Red Cross offer health and safety classes each month and provide many services to Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties.  The Red Cross is always there when a house fire occurs helping with housing and personal needs.  You can become a volunteer or help with a monetary donation.  Each chapter also holds many health fairs and fundraisers that you can be a part of - for information in Clark County, call 399-3872 - in Champaign and Logan, call 650-5001.

Alzheimer's Association

Disabled Veterans


There are 135 state run and state funded long-term care facilities across the nation - many veterans do not realize they may be eligible to benefit from these facilities - if you or someone you know needs assistance, call the toll free number for more information - 1-866-331-1944.

Paralyzed Veterans

Kiss Country 101.7 PSA Guidelines


All public service announcements with essential information (date, time, cost, phone number, etc.)  will be posted at kisscountry.com's "Community Calendar."  To be considered for on air announcements, information must be received at least two weeks in advance of event - first come, first served.  On air announcements will be made one week before event date. Emergency information such as school closings or delays, etc. will take precedence over regular public service announcements.  You may send your public service information to fax # 937-399-3661 or by mail to WKSW, 2963 Derr Road, Springfield OH  45503.

Second Harvest Food Bank


The Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign, and Logan Counties are currently accepting applications for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors.  This is a federal USDA food and nutrition program serving nutritionally at-risk, income eligible adults.  To participate, you must be age 60 or older, reside in Clark, Champaign, or Logan Counties, and meet further guidlines, proof of age, and residency.  Call 937-323-6507 in Clark County, 937-652-2125 in Champaign County, and 937-599-5595 in Logan County for more information.
